Overhead crane is a type of lifting equipment that can move extremely heavy loads and objects from one location to another safely and accurately using the overhead crane space or clearance of a manufacturing plant. Overhead crane parts : Crane Bridge : The cross bridge of an overhead crane runs longitudinally alongside crane tracks or crane rails which are laid on runway beams over the square operating area. Crane Bridges are manufactured from steel plate or steel beam which are connected with end carriages or end girders kits to move on the runway.
Hoisting Trolley : Electric hoists . The lifting trolley is consisted of the lifting mechanism which contains the overhead crane parts and components such as a brake, motor, reducer, drum, and set of pulleys. Structure difference: a single girder crane has only one bridge beam, and the hoist trolley operates or travels on the lower flange of the bridge girder. A double girder crane will have two bridge beams, the hoist trolley travels on rails, usually attached to the tops of the crane girder.
Headroom contrast: headroom means the electric hoist of the single girder crane is installed under the girder, and the electric hoist of the double girder crane is installed on the top of the double girder, which brings a larger hook height
Application contrast: single girder bridge crane from Yuantai is usually designed for light capacity, lifting capacity is 1-32 tons; double girder bridge crane from Yuantai is usually designed for heavy capacity, lifting capacity is 5-550 tons
Price contrast : single girder cranes use less material and are more compact and lightweight than a double girder crane, which results in a significant cost-savings in material, freight, and installation. But for heavier capacity, double girder overhead crane is absolutely the best lifting solution.

Structure difference: a top running crane, the beam bridge runs on rails along the top of the runway beams; an under-hung crane, also called under running crane, or , the beam bridges are supported by the bottom of the runway beams and the crane wheels run along the bottom of the lower beam flange.

Application contrast: the top running crane has a stronger lifting capacity than the under running crane. The top running overhead crane has no limiting capacity, which means it can be used to handle lifts with small capacities to very large capacities.Underhung overhead crane supported by ceiling or roof structures, also called suspension cranes. It is more suitable for lighter service and lower capacity applications.
